Manchester United Head Coach Ruben Amorim admits 'I imitate Mourinho'

Ahead of the UEFA Europa League final against Tottenham, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim spoke to UEFA’s official media outlet.

Amorim had this to say about Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho;

"Many of the things I did at Sporting such as signing players like Nuno Santos and Pote [Pedro Gonçalves]  were, in a way, imitations of what [José] Mourinho did at Porto," Amorim said. "I’m someone who values building relationships. I believe it’s more effective to manage a team through connection rather than distance. That’s one of the ways Mourinho influenced me. He brought emotional connection into football creating dynamics to challenge those who needed it, and support those who required help. I think every coach has learned a great deal from Mourinho."
