While giving a speech here, the Spanish coach made a powerful speech about the Palestinian people who are bombarded almost every day by the Israeli army.
Referring to the young children killed in Gaza, Guardiola said, "It pains me to see what is happening in Gaza. This is not an ideological thing. It is not a competition where you are right and I am wrong. We see children as young as 4-5 years old dying in bombardments or in a hospital that is no longer a hospital."
Referring to the dangerous dimensions of the war, Guardiola said, "Yes, it is not our job to talk about it. But we will be next, the next 4-5 year old children will be our children."
Pep Guardiola's words were applauded for seconds by the people in the hall.
