“I WAS UPSET”

You were at Fenerbahce for a very short time, but you still had the opportunity to meet and chat with the head coach José Mourinho. What do you think makes Mourinho a top coach?

"It's hard to put into words, but I firmly believe that his football career speaks for itself. For me, José Mourinho has to be in the top three managers of all time. It was a bit sad that our contact with him was so short: When I transferred to Fenerbahce, things became clear very quickly because of the foreign player rule in Turkey.

"HE WAS FATHERLY"

He was also the one who gave me advice on what I should do in this situation. Overall it was a very nice conversation. But so far our communication has been limited to that one conversation."

Jose Mourinho has worked for many teams. Which club is he most remembered for?

"Again, it's hard to say because I'm a young player and I didn't have the chance to watch his first successes live. That's why what comes to my mind is Mourinho's “Roma” and “Chelsea” periods. I watched those two teams play and that's what comes to my mind now."

“WE DON'T TALK AT ALL!”

“Do you have contact with him now?”

"No, I haven't had any personal contact with José after he left Fenerbahce. But I am still in contact with some people from the Turkish club, for example the sporting director. He often writes, calls, we chat. After matches he asks how I am, he takes care of my health."
